APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The application consists of the following:
1) The attached fill-in-the-blank application.
2) A one to five-page narrative which include what your project will achieve:
A. What is the issue to be addressed?
B. How does the project support your mission?
C. Who benefits from the project and how?
D. Why is the project being undertaken at this time?
E. What are the anticipated outcomes?
F. How will you evaluate the success of your project?
3) A detailed project budget (not the entire organizational budget) showing all anticipated costs, other sources of funding, and the amount requested. Be specific about items or activities such as personnel/salaries, fringe benefits, travel, equipment, supplies, contract costs and indirect costs. The Pierce Foundation limits indirect costs to 10%.
4) A timeline or project schedule with milestones, action, etc. The project must begin during the 2008 calendar year and be completed within one year from the start date. A mid-year report (6 months from project start date) must be included.
5) Appendices.
Appendices must include:

Key Personnel Resumes – Limit these to 1 page per resume.

Letters of Commitment from partner organizations explaining their role in the proposed project. Do not enclose letters of endorsement or recommendations. Letters of commitment must pertain to the actual project, not the entire organization.

Note: Erroneous or misleading information may result in grants being rescinded or revoked and repayment of any funds received may be required. AIP requires periodic and final reports showing the expenditure of the funds and the results of the project.
